Annual Meeting

The Sky Harbour Homeowners Association Annual Meeting will be held at the Sky Harbour Community Clubhouse, September 16th at 2:00 p.m. Ballots and proxies will be mailed the last week of August. Your participation is crucial. Please vote and attend this very important event.

We encourage all homeowners to attend the annual meeting, however, if you cannot attend in person, please take the time to cast your vote via snail-mail.   All ballots must be received by September 16, 2017 to be counted.  Any vote cast in an election or vote by a member of a Homeowners’ Association must be in writing and signed by the homeowner.  Electronic  votes (email or fax) may be cast on constitute written and signed ballots.  Homeowners may return signed ballot by the day proceeding the election and before 12:oo noon.

In order to conduct business at this meeting (and elect the Board of Directors), we must have the assent of 2/3 of the votes of each of the members to make any proposed changes.  Here are other voting options:

  • Vote in-person at the meeting
  • Vote by mail
  • Vote by directed proxy

Watch your mailboxes, as the association will be mailing the Notice of Annual Meeting, Proxies and Candidate Statements. If you plan to vote at the annual meeting you will receive a ballot at the meeting.

If you want to know more about the community, and are looking for ways to get more involved, why not consider joining one of the many active committees here in Sky Harbour?  SHHOA committees assist the board with specific areas of responsibility, and bring information to the board which can result in decisions and actions.

We have some great committees:

  • Architectural Control
  • Budget and Finance
  • Maintenance
  • Parks and Recreation
  • Website and Development

Information about these committees can be found on our association website.

Better yet, why not come to the annual meeting and introduce yourself to the committee chairs? They’ll be happy to tell you more about the work they do, what is required from a committee member and what kinds of projects the committees are currently working on. The more participants the better!
